Standard Advertising Calendar

The Standard Advertising Calendar is designed to conform to a uniform billing period and was adopted for billing and planning functions. A standard advertising week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. The standard advertising month ends on the last Sunday of the calendar month. For quick reference, the four traditional TV audience measurement periods (more commonly known as "sweeps") are indicated on this calendar. The sweep period dates are determined by the Nielsen Company, provider of the TV ratings system.
